New Indie Market May Be Coming to The Rosemary District! The Rosemary district is booming! Not only is the Courtyard at Citrus Square currently being built, but according to this report from ABC7, The Rosemary district is looking to grow its services offered by adding a florist, additional delicious restaurants, convenience stores and other services that the general public needs. Although Michael Bush, President of the Rosemary District Association, mistakenly forgot that we have a dry cleaners right here in Citrus Square— DC Valet!
This comes with reports that local entrepreneur and owner of Canned Ham Vintage is looking to host an indie market in the Rosemary District beginning in November. The market plans to host 28 vendors in an open-air market that will operate 9 am- 6 pm every third Saturday of the month and feature food trucks, artists, handcrafts, vintage enthusiasts, fresh vegetables, and live music. Free vendor stalls will be open to local nonprofit organizations as part of each market.
Rogers hopes to hold the first market on Nov 19 and drew inspiration from the St. Pete Indie Market. ” It’s going to be a small market,. It’s not going to be gigantic, but we want to have a little bit of everything. There needs to be some more fun things to do around the city.” Rogers said to Alex Mahadevan of the Observer.
A market like this would definitely draw in great foot traffic and be a great addition to the district. We look forward to the city approving the permit! Check out the video on the Rosemary District by ABC7 below:
